DESCRIPTION:We are almost ready to kick-off our Reset Fasting and Prayer. We are joining together as a community to dedicate our year to the Lord. We are thankful for all of God’s provision throughout 2021\, but this was a tough year. With the continued pandemic losses\, transitions in our church\, and a dumpster fire of political and societal division\, we need revival. And scriptures remind us that revival comes through the Word of the Lord (Revive me according to Your word. – Psalm 119:25); our sure foundation. So no matter what happens in our families\, our jobs\, our churches\, and our society\, we will not be shaken. God uses His word in bringing revival\, and any work that claims to be revival can be measured according to His word. \nHere are a few things to note about Reset 2022: \n\nPastor Aalim will teach on fasting today at our 10:30 am worship service.\nYou can download the Reset guide now \nStart – Whether you fast regularly or this is your first time\, start where you are. Your fast should challenge you but you alone know your body and what you can do. The goal is not to do without food or Facebook. The goal is to draw near to God.\nCommit – Pray about the kind of fast you should commit to. Making these commitments ahead of time will help sustain your fast when temptations and pressures tempt you to abandon it.\nAct – Set aside time each day for reading the Bible and praying.\nJoin us for the morning prayer call Jan 3- 8 from 6:30 – 6:45 am. DESCRIPTION:Connect Church is going on a 40-day discipleship journey focusing on the Red Letters of the gospels – the very words of Jesus. Join us as we take this discipleship journey studying the words of Jesus\, looking at how we can love God\, love people\, and impact the world. \nThrough our Sunday worship experiences\, daily devotions\, life groups\, and discipleship classes we will study the words of Jesus from the Gospels\, all while learning to put them into practice. \nIf you would like to take the challenge you can Grab your book for only $20 starting January 2. You can also text the word RLC to 817-677-9700. \nThe Red Letter Challenge (RLC) is unique because it takes Christ’s literal words and gives us practical daily challenges based on those words. The RLC will gives us targets to shoot for to help measure how we are practically following after Him. We want to follow Jesus\, not out of obligation\, but out of gratitude for what He has done! \nThe RLC is organized around five main principles that Jesus focused on. 1️⃣ Being 2️⃣ Forgiving 3️⃣ Serving 4️⃣ Giving 5️⃣ Going.
