Reset Fasting and Prayer

We are almost ready to kick-off our Reset Fasting and Prayer. We are joining together as a community to dedicate our year to the Lord. We are thankful for all of God’s provision throughout 2021, but this was a tough year. With the continued pandemic losses, transitions in our church, and a dumpster fire of political and societal division, we need revival. And scriptures remind us that revival comes through the Word of the Lord (Revive me according to Your word. – Psalm 119:25); our sure foundation. So no matter what happens in our families, our jobs, our churches, and our society, we will not be shaken. God uses His word in bringing revival, and any work that claims to be revival can be measured according to His word.

Here are a few things to note about Reset 2022:

• Pastor Aalim will teach on fasting today at our 10:30 am worship service.
• You can download the Reset guide now
• Start – Whether you fast regularly or this is your first time, start where you are. Your fast should challenge you but you alone know your body and what you can do. The goal is not to do without food or Facebook. The goal is to draw near to God.
  Commit – Pray about the kind of fast you should commit to. Making these commitments ahead of time will help sustain your fast when temptations and pressures tempt you to abandon it.
  Act – Set aside time each day for reading the Bible and praying.
